Albanian travelers who have Kenya as their next destination on their list have good news. Now, with the introduction of Kenya eTA in January 2024, Albanian citizens can obtain their visa for Kenya online.

Albanian travelers can stay in Kenya on their Kenyan eTA for a period of 90 days. Know that these 90 days should be continuous 90 days. Kenyan eTA for 90 days is a single-entry visa.

Kenya eTA Requirements for Albanian Citizens
A Valid Passport: A valid Albanian passport that stays valid for another 6 months from your arrival date in Kenya.
Passport-Sized Photo: Albanian applicants’ passport-sized photo where they are not wearing glasses or other accessories.
Proof of Accommodation: A proof of accommodation, like a booking of a resort or hotel in Kenya, must be submitted when filling out the Kenya eTA application form.
Return or Onward Ticket: It is required for Albanian citizens to show a return ticket or ticket to some other destination within their Kenya eTA validity period.
Photo Guidelines for Kenya eTA Application
When submitting a photo for your Kenya eTA application, Albanian applicants should know this:
No Selfies: Refrain from uploading selfies or scanned passport photos. Instead, provide a recent, clear photograph that shows your current appearance.
Clear and Colorful: Your photo should be sharp, in full color, and free of any filters or digital alterations. The photo must also be free from any damage or imperfections.
Background for Photo: Ask your photographer to keep the background plain white or it can also be off-white, with no digital editing. Avoid filters as well.
Clothing and Accessories: Wear everyday clothing. Costumes and uniforms aren’t allowed. Accessories like hats or glasses should not cover your face.
Is Kenya eTA Validity Extendable?
A Kenya eTA with 90 days validity can be extended for another 90 days. However, Albanian citizens who wish to get their Kenya eTA extended need to opt for the Kenya eVisa extension within 90 days of the validity period.
Travelers must go to the nearest Kenyan immigration office to opt for a Kenya eTA extension. Know that the Kenya eTA validity cannot be extended beyond 180 days.
Other Kenya eTA Types for Albanians
East Africa Tourist eTA
The East Africa Tourist eTA visa can be obtained by Albanian citizens and it allows them to travel to Rwanda and Uganda as well. Another good thing about the East Africa Tourist visa is that it can be used for multiple entries.
Know that the East Africa Tourist eTA is not extendable and only has 3 months validity. However, Albanians, when they opt for this visa, must first come to Kenya and then can travel to these countries.
Kenya Multiple Entry eTA for Albanians
Albanian travelers who intend to visit Kenya more than once in a year have the option to opt for a Kenya multiple entry eTA. Once you get Kenyan immigration authorities approval for this visa, you can travel to Kenya multiple times.
However, know that this eTA is valid for 1 year and Albanian travelers can stay in the country for not more than 90 continuous days. Before 90 days, they have to exit Kenya and they can reenter again.
