Do Belizean Citizens Need an eVisa to Visit India?

Tourist eVisa

Business eVisa

This visa has a 12-month validity from the day/date your request was granted. Once you get your eVisa, you’ll be allowed to enter the country multiple times, but you can stay there for a maximum of 180 days.

Medical eVisa

You need to apply for a medical eVisa if you are seeking medical care in India. You can visit India three times during the 60 days that this visa is valid.

Medical Attendant eVisa

Two attendants are permitted to attend a patient receiving medical treatment in India. If you’re an attendant, you need to apply for a medical attendant eVisa. This visa is also valid for 60 days from the day you enter India and you’re allowed to enter the country three times within this 60-day validity.

Transit eVisa

If you’re just traveling through India to some other destination, then you can apply for an Indian transit eVisa. This visa allows you to enter India two times, and the validity is limited to only direct transit. Remember that if you’re not going to leave the airport or the ship at the Indian Seaport, you don’t need this eVisa. If you want to leave the airport premises or your ship, only then you’re required to apply for the transit eVisa.

Required Documents for Indian eVisa Applications

Passport

You need a Belizean passport, which is valid for a minimum of six or more months from the day you have planned to enter India. Additionally, make sure your passport has two blank pages for stamps. Your passport must be regular or ordinary – a diplomatic passport is not accepted.

Photograph

Your photograph is an extremely important document for this application. It should not be any older than six months. There are several important specifications that you need to keep in mind before you upload your passport-style photograph. Read all the photo requirements carefully.

Email Address

A valid email address is extremely important for your application because all the communication related to your eVisa application will be sent to you via this email address. Make sure the email address you share in the application is one that you can access at any time.

Credit/Debit Card

Return Ticket

You must also have a return ticket to either your own country or to some other country. It works as proof that you are planning to leave India within the timeframe that you’re allowed to stay.

Financial Proof

You will also need to share proof that you have enough money to afford your stay in the country. You can use the last three statements of your bank as the financial proof.

Other Important Information  Related to Indian eVisa

According to the category of Indian eVisa you apply for, you’ll need a few other documents:

• If you apply for a business eVisa, you’ll need a letter from the business you’re working with in India. You will also need their business card with you. Make sure that the letterhead is clearly visible.
• If you’re applying for a medical eVisa, you also need a letter from the hospital you’re getting the treatment from. You make sure that the letterhead is clearly visible.
• If you’re traveling to visit your family or friends, you need a letter of invitation from them.

• Don’t overstay your visa because it can lead to serious fines, or you may also be banned from entering India for a certain period of time.
• With eVisa, you are not allowed to apply for any university degree because eVisas are only for short-term visits. Similarly, you are not allowed to work in India as an employee. If you want to get employed in India or apply for a university degree, you will need to apply for a standard visa from an Indian embassy.
• You cannot visit a military or cantonment area with an eVisa. You’ll need special permission from the Indian government to visit these areas.
• Print out your approval letter and carry it with you upon entering India. You can also carry a soft copy, but a printout is less likely to get lost. You can keep the printout with your passport to keep it safe.

Processing Time for an Indian eVisa

Once you apply for an Indian eVisa, it mostly takes 3 to 4 business days for it to be processed.  However, if your application has errors, it may be pushed back or dismissed.
