Online Indian Visa: Information and Requirements

An online visa called the India Tourist e-Visa enables eligible citizens to go to India. Depending on how long you plan to stay, there are two different types of tourist visas: multiple-entry India online visas, which allow you to stay for up to 90 days straight (US, Canadian, Japanese, UK and Australian citizens may stay for up to 180 days), and double-entry tourist visas, which allow you to stay for up to 30 days after the date of entry.

• You must have a passport that will be valid for at least six months from the date you enter the country of destination.
• You must have a return ticket or an onward ticket with enough money on it to pay for your stay in India.
• Pakistani passport holders and anyone of Pakistani ancestry must apply for a standard visa at one of India’s consulates.
• Each person requesting an eVisa needs to have their own passport.

The online multiple-entry visa for India is valid for 365 days after the date of issuance. The 30-day double-entry tourist visa is valid for 30 days after issuance. 

You must have a passport that is valid for at least six months after the desired date of entrance in order to apply online for an Indian visa. Additionally, the passport must include at least two blank pages to accommodate entry and exit stamps.

Additionally, applicants must submit a color passport-style photo. It is important to upload the supporting papers to submit with the India e-Visa application, depending on the purpose of the visit.

Applicants for an e-Business visa must also submit a business card with information about the host organization in India, while those requesting an e-Medical visa must submit a certified letter from the Indian hospital or medical facility providing the necessary care.

The 90-day maximum stay in the nation is allowed with each entrance under the India e-Tourist visa with multiple entries. The maximum stay allowed for nationals is 180 days.

With the tourist visa with two entries, you are able to enter and exit India twice throughout your 30-day stay.

While the e-business Visa allows for multiple entries and the e-medical Visa allows for three entries and a maximum stay of 60 days.

It is forbidden to stay in India for a longer period of time than what is specified in an approved electronic visa, whether it be for tourism, business, or medical reasons.

However, people intending to go to India for business, or medical treatment for a patient also be used for the necessary e-visa.

Citizens who qualify must apply for an online visa for India at least four days before to desired date of entrance for business, travel, or medical. To prevent processing or visa delivery delays, applicants are urged to submit their applications at least one week in advance.

Not at all. The India Visa enables eligible nationals to conduct short-term business operations in India, such as starting a company venture there, buying or selling commercial or industrial assets, and hiring new employees.

The holder of an investment visa for India is granted permanent residency rights there for a first-time duration of ten years.

The holder of an e-Business Visa is permitted brief stays for the following reasons:

• Establishing a business endeavor or researching opportunities for doing so in India.
• To go to India to buy/sell commercial or industrial products.
• To go to meetings for business.
• For the purpose of hiring.

The India Business Visa’s restrictions show that its holders cannot find employment or perform paid jobs in India.

Online applications with a 120-day timeframe are accepted up to 4 days before the intended arrival date. For instance, if you submit your application on September 1st, you can choose an arrival date between September 5 and January 2.

The medical online e-visa permits the holder to go to India for medical care or to go with a patient who is seeking care there. Each patient is permitted a total of two companion applications. For minors, an e-visa for Medical Attendants is not available.

Up to two times each calendar year, applicants may submit an application for an e-Medical for India. Additionally, all three of the entries permitted for each and every Indian medical visa take place in the same year. The second entry, or the second and third entries, must occur 60 days after the initial entry.

A person with an India Visa is not permitted to work there or remain for more than 60 days per visit.
