Bahrain citizens are eligible for a Kenya eTA online. For the online Kenya eTA, you should hold a valid Bahraini passport with six months of validity, and know that it must be from the date of your arrival in Kenya. The citizens of Bahrain can obtain a Kenya eTA for tourism, business, and transit reasons. Single-Entry Kenya Visas

To come to Kenya, single-entry Kenya eTA and Kenya eTA for multiple entries are available. Single-entry Kenya visas are: 

Kenya Tourist eTA: This is an online Kenya tourist visa that allows travelers to come to Kenya for short trips and meet Kenyan families and friends. Bahraini citizens are not allowed to do any commercial work on this visa.

Kenya Business eTA: The Kenya business eTA is for Bahraini citizens who are invited by registered Kenyan companies on a business trip. Bahraini citizens are not allowed to get employment in Kenya on this visa. 

Kenya Transit eTA: Kenya transit eTAs are valid for 72 hours and are required for Bahrainis traveling to another country with Kenya as a stopover and wishing to visit Kenya during that time. 

Kenya eTA Validity and Duration of Stay 

Kenya eTAs, such as the Kenya tourist eTA, Kenya business eTA, and Kenya transit eTA, are valid for 90 days. These 90 days will start from the date of issuance of your Kenya eTA. During these 90 days, Bahraini citizens with a Kenya eTA can travel to Kenya any time. 

To stay in Kenya on a Kenya eTA, a Bahraini citizen has 90 days. Know that these 90 days should be in a row, as the Kenya eTA is a single-entry visa

Citizens of Bahrain must visit the Kenyan embassy or immigration office to obtain the necessary visa in case they want to take admission to any educational institution in Kenya or enroll in a course in Kenya. 

What is Kenya eTA’s Extension Policy?

The Kenya immigration authorities have made it possible for certain country citizens, including Bahraini citizens, to opt for a Kenya eTA extension. However, for this, Bahraini citizens will have to go to the nearest Kenyan embassy or consulate. 

As of 2025, the Kenyan eTA can be extended for a maximum of 90 days during the first extension. However, another Kenya eTA extension can be opted for by the Bahraini citizens and this extension will also be for 90 days only. 

Total 180 days can be extended for your Kenya eTA and not more than that. We request that Bahraini citizens plan their trip as soon as they get their Kenya eTA to utilize the validity days fully. 

Multiple-Entry Kenya Visas

East African Tourist Visa 

The East African Tourist Visa is an option for the citizens of Bahrain who want to explore East Africa in more detail and visit Rwanda and Uganda on their trip to Kenya. This visa allows Bahraini travelers multiple entries into Kenya.

Bahraini travelers can use this visa to travel to Uganda and Rwanda as well and they are not required to obtain a separate visa for these two countries. The East African Tourist Visa is meant for tourist activities in Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda only. 

Unlike Kenya eTAs, the East African Tourist Visa cannot be opted for an extension. The validity of the East African Tourist Visa is 90 days and during these valid days Bahraini citizens can use this visa. 

Bahraini citizens with an East African Tourist Visa must know that if they want to visit Uganda and Rwanda, they are required to first make a visit to Kenya and then travel to Uganda and Rwanda. 

Kenya One-Year Multiple Entry eTA

The Kenya One-Year Multiple Entry Visa is intended for eligible travelers who plan to visit Kenya multiple times in a year. Long-term or frequent travel to Kenya or frequent business meetings and conferences that require Bahraini individuals to visit Kenya on multiple occasions throughout the year can both be facilitated by the Kenya One-Year Multiple Entry Visa.

The Kenya eTA, however, forbids Bahraini citizens from staying in Kenya for longer than ninety days in a row. They have ninety days to leave Kenya, but since this visa is only good for a year, they can use the Kenya One-Year Multiple Entries eTA to come back.  

What Are the Requirements to Get a Kenya eTA?

A Valid Passport: Having a Bahraini passport with a six-month validity is the basic requirement to obtain a Kenya eTA.

Passport-Sized Scanned Photo: For Kenya eTA, you must have a passport-sized digital photo taken within the last six months.

Proof of Stay in Kenya: A hotel booking confirmation or proof of any other legal accommodation in Kenya

Return or Onward Ticket: Bahraini travelers must purchase a return ticket or a ticket to another nation within ninety days of the original date of travel and provide proof of this.
