Cambodian Visa for Danish Citizens: Key Points
A lot of people around the world have Cambodia on their bucket list. If you’re one of these people and a citizen of Denmark, you can get a visa to visit Denmark more easily than you think. Cambodia offers 220 countries the option of a Cambodia eVisa, for which you don’t need to go to a Cambodian embassy or consulate.

As the whole process of a visa application is done online, citizens of Denmark can fill the Cambodia visa application form right from their home or office. But before you look for the application form and start filling it out, it’s best to go over all the Cambodia visa requirements so that you are prepared with all the documents you will need and don’t make mistakes that can lead to delay or rejection of your application.
Do All Danish Citizens Need to Apply for Cambodia Visa Online to Enter the Country?
Every Danish citizen who intends to enter Cambodia must have a kind of Cambodia visa to enter the country. Cambodia eVisa is one such type of visa that is valid for specific travel purposes only. The purposes are given below:
- You wish to travel around Cambodia as a tourist.
- You have to visit Cambodia for a short business trip to attend meetings or events, etc.
- You have to transit through Cambodia to reach another country.
These three travel purposes are the only ones for which you can apply for a Cambodia eVisa You cannot use this type of visa if you are traveling for any other reason.
Different Kinds of Cambodia Visas Available to Danish Citizens
Just like the Cambodia eVisa, there are other types of visas also available depending on the specific purpose of the traveler. For example, if you have to remain in Cambodia for an extended duration than the eVisa allows, or if you want to enroll in a university for a degree course, or maybe if you want to start a job in this country, you will have to apply for specific Cambodia visas for your specific purpose for which you will have to visit the Cambodian Embassy/consulate. Cambodia eVisa is the only visa for which you can apply online.
Validity and Extension of Cambodia eVisa
Cambodia eVisa is valid for 90 days, within which you can enter the country only once. During the validity period, you’re permitted to remain in the country for only 30 days. If you need to extend this, you can do it for one more month, that is, 30 more days, but you must apply for this extension while you’re in Cambodia. You cannot apply for an extension from outside the country.
Keep in mind to apply for your extension while your 30-day stay is not over. This is because, if you stay in Cambodia for more than 30 days and don’t have an extension, you will be considered as overstaying your eVisa. This can have serious legal consequences for you.
