Australia's eVisitor Visa Information

In 2008, the Australia eVisitor online visa was introduced, enabling travel to Australia for Europeans. Australia and the European Union have arrangements for mutual short-term travel.

Before visiting Australia, nationals of Europe must apply for the online Australian eVisitor application form.

Multiple entry for stays of up to three months are permitted with the Australia eVisitor, which has a 12-month validity period.

The online eVisitor visa is granted for short visits in Australia for tourism or business. Additionally, the eVisitor enables qualified overseas nationals to train or study in Australia for up to three months.

All foreign nationals must apply for a visa at an Australia Consulate or Embassy in order to stay in Australia for longer periods of time.

There is no way to extend the Australian eVisitor. A visiting visa can be applied for once in Australia and before the eVisitor expires, allowing holders of this Australia online visa to potentially extend their stay.

There is no way to extend an Australian eVisitor Visa; instead, if it expires, the traveler must apply again from outside of Australia.
