Proof of Stay in Kenya: You must present confirmation of your stay in Kenya in order to be granted a Kenya eTA. Austrians should make hotel reservations and present the booking confirmation.

Onward Ticket or a Return Ticket: In addition to having to be within the Kenya eTA’s eligibility period, travelers must present return tickets or tickets to another country.

East Africa Tourist Visa 

Austrian citizens who wish to see Uganda and Rwanda as tourists when they plan their Kenya trip have the option for an East Africa Tourist Visa. This visa is for eligible citizens, including those from Austria, to see Uganda and Rwanda when they come to Kenya. 

The East Africa Tourist Visa offers multiple entries to the travelers. However, this visa only stays good for 90 days. Unlike the single-entry Kenya eTA, the East Africa Tourist eTA cannot be extended.

It should be noted, though, that in order to use this visa to travel to Uganda and Rwanda, an Austrian must first visit Kenya. They can then continue on to these two nations from Kenya. 

Kenya One-Year Multiple Entry eTA

Those travelers who have to visit Kenya multiple times in a year, be it for tourism or business-related work like attending multiple meetings and conferences. The Kenya One-Year Multiple Entry Visa comes with a 1-year validity and Austrian travelers can make multiple entries into Kenya with this visa. 

However, it is important for Austrian travelers to know that they cannot stay more than 90 straight days in Kenya with this eTA. They can use this Kenya One-Year Multiple Entries eTA to return if they would like, but they have to leave Kenya first within ninety days.
