Electronic visa processing is entirely an online process. The applicant can apply while relaxing in their living room. Unlike traditional visas, you don’t need to visit embassies and consulates. Valid Passport

The applicant’s passport needs to be up to date.t. The validity of your passport should be longer than six months. The Bio page of the passport is the most essential part. As you know, the bio page of your passport contains your name, date of birth, nationality, expiry date of your passport, etc. You should have your passport bio page scanned copy with the specified format and size. Make sure your passport contains two blank pages as well.

Passport-Size Photo

You should have a digital copy of your recent passport-size photo. It must adhere to the specified format and size. Read the specifications given in the country’s e-Visa guidelines. Additionally, ensure not to wear any hats, scarves, or glasses unless for religious reasons. Your face shouldn’t be covered with shadows. Your background should be white or subtle.

Financial Proof Documents

It is crucial to make sure you have enough funds to travel abroad and stay there for a while. No country is responsible for your expenses. So, it is necessary to have enough funds and you should have proof of that.

You might have to provide specific documentation, such as

Bank Statement

You may need to present your bank statement for at least the last 3 to 6 months. That shows your financial capacity.

Sponsorship Letter

If the applicant is traveling on sponsorship, then you must have a sponsorship letter and documents to support that.

Employment Documents

The applicant may have to submit a letter or documents of their employment. That states that they are employed and they receive a steady paycheck.

Travel Itinerary

The applicant should have travel information like flight, cruise ship details, accommodation details, etc. For instance, if you are traveling by air or cruise, you should have a copy of your entry and exit tickets.  Also, your itinerary which has your travel plans. It is also important to have a copy of the documents of your stay like the hotels, homestays, etc.

Documents Supporting Your Purpose of Visit

In addition to the basic documents required to apply for an e-Visa, the applicant needs more documents supporting their intended visit.

For instance-

Tourism– If you are traveling abroad as a tourist, you should have your itinerary and accommodation details.

Business– The applicant must have a business card, invitation letter, and other documents of the organization they are visiting.

Medical–  Travelers must have their medical records and treatment dates and details along with the documents of the hospital they are consulting.

Likewise, the travelers need supporting documents along with their itinerary and accommodation details.

Apart from all the mentioned documents, an applicant may need to submit several documents like a vaccination certificate, certificate of good conduct, travel insurance, etc according to the country they are visiting.

Additionally, ensure you are giving your valid and active email address while completing the application form because an approved e-Visa is sent to your email ID.
